“Пообещай” (Poobeshchay, 2025) — Dima Bilan. Mixing: Podlesny Twins (Pavel and Anton Podlesny).
This project was sent to me by composer Darya Kuznetsova, who has won a great many Golden Gramophone awards. Pavel Podlesny recorded backing vocals and vocal stacks for the track, which were then blended with Dima Bilan's own backing vocals. Darya Kuznetsova also recorded the female backing vocals.
I mixed the track, and Boris Istomin mastered it. The song had to be ready for radio and the charts. The vocal here is heavily compressed at a 12:1 ratio, and the whole mix is as pop-oriented as possible. I was hugely impressed by Boris's master: he made the track very loud and made it translate everywhere. Podlesny Twins received a Golden Gramophone for this work.
