What made the track interesting is that it is a feature with an American artist. The main difficulty was the kick: we wanted it as punchy as possible, with a dirt that works for the track. I even took a lesson from electronic musician Sergey Vospi so he could help synthesize the kick that would work best in this track.
For detailed sound design I brought in Ain Rei. Originally there were more than a hundred effects, but after revisions about fifteen remained, including the vocal chops. A whole team worked on the song.
The mix sounds dirty, and I still like the result, because that dirt is deliberate. glaive's vocal was recorded fairly overdriven to begin with, but in the mix we managed to seat it organically.
