The album “Партизан” became one of the most important projects of our whole career. Work on it began in 2021 and wrapped up in 2025. Most of it was done in person, taking each track slowly and carefully to its final form.
This track was very hard to mix: the sample takes up almost the entire frequency range, a massive bass sits right next to it, and the guttural vocal potentially conflicts with both the bass and the sample. We only managed to resolve that conflict in the third year of work.
There were many project versions: we passed them back and forth, exported individual stems, EQ'd them, and re-recorded the vocal. The chorus sounded right straight away, powerful and loud. The main difficulty was in the verses. A fun fact: Anton recorded the whistle for the last chorus.
